King & Shaxson, the financial services company incorporating an investment firm, trading venue, asset management, advice, training and the safe custody of client assets, has selected EnOC Technologies’ (EnOC) cloud-based software to manage its Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SM&CR) requirements.

EnOC’s SM&CR system enables FCA solo-regulated firms to significantly reduce the administration burden, remove complexities, and allow companies to focus on the duties of responsibility and accountability. EnOC streamlines and simplifies the administration workload, generates Responsibility Maps, Statements of Responsibilities and Terms of References, tracks the status of individuals, and hosts a documentation archive for required documentary evidence.

EnOC was created to close the technology gap for FCA solo-regulated firms, providing enterprise-grade software on an affordable per individual, monthly subscription model, with no minimum contract period or minimum fees.

Sean Lam, founder, EnOC Technologies, and CEO at Walker Crips, said: “King & Shaxson is an Enhanced SM&CR category firm and has to comply with very onerous monitoring and record keeping SM&CR requirements. Between keeping information up to date and tracking alerts for reviews and due dates, retaining evidence of changes and preparing data for The Directory, the management and administration effort would have been a monumental, laborious and risky task.

“Adopting the EnOC Pro Platform to simplify their SM&CR administrative tasks, will allow businesses like King & Shaxson to focus on the duties of responsibility and accountability.”

Martin Carey, COO, King & Shaxson, said: “It’s clear the EnOC platform was built by a financial services practitioner, not just a software company, and it has already taken away a lot of the SM&CR pressures on our business. The platform itself is easy to set up and use and the subscription model means there are no extra charges or minimum contract period.

“We’re very impressed with the EnOC team, which never ceases to innovate and continually work on improvements to meet with the ever-changing demands of the industry. Having surpassed our expectations, we look forward to continuing our strategic partnership with EnOC and integrating more tools as they become available on the platform.”
